On May 17, 2025, the 21st Annual Conference of the China Foundry Association was inaugurated in Tianjin. Association leaders, experts, and representatives from various enterprises in the national foundry industry gathered together to deeply discuss important topics such as innovative processes, industrialization applications, green development, and the trend of intelligent manufacturing in the Chinese foundry industry.
On May 19, Ningguo Huafeng Wear-resistant Materials Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the “Advanced Wear-resistant Materials and Castings Sub-forum” of the Foundry Association Annual Conference and delivered a keynote presentation at the forum. The technical quality department head of Huafeng Company, Gui JinSong, presented a topic report titled “Industrial Practice and Application of CADI Grinding Balls Using Water-Air Alternating Quenching + Isothermal Treatment in Air Furnace”, systematically introducing the company’s independently developed heat treatment process. This process uses water and air as cooling media, combined with specific equipment and process parameters, enabling CADI grinding balls to achieve precise temperature control in multiple cycles during industrial production. It successfully replaced traditional quenching oil or salt bath salt with tap water, improving the on-site working environment and reducing enterprise costs and safety risks.
The paper jointly written by Gui JinSong, Yao Yongmao, Cheng Qi, Fang Jianfeng, Huang Yong, and Chen Qian, titled “Performance Differences of CADI Grinding Balls under Different Foundry Processes”, won the third prize of the “European Love” Outstanding Paper Award at this annual conference.
At the same time, as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Chinese foundry industry and an authoritative expert in the field of wear-resistant materials, Mr. Yao Yongmao, the chief engineer of Huafeng Company, was invited to participate in the special seminar on “15th Five-Year Plan for Wear-resistant Materials (Wear-resistant Castings)” and “China Foundry Wear-resistant Materials Industry Technology Roadmap (2026-2035)”. This seminar brought together top experts and industry representatives from across the country, aiming to draw a blueprint for the development of wear-resistant materials technology in the next decade.
